New on Ebay Tonight....

Tonight I listed this Fall doll, Jackie~O~Lantern. I love her colors, they just seem to say Autumn to me. There are olive greens, deep oranges, golds and tans. I hope you can get a chance to go to Ebay and check her out.

I'll be working on squash this week (again!!). With all the rain we've been having the squash are plentiful. Good thing we love them.
I'll also be working on a special order witch this week. I want to get her finished so I can turn my thoughts to August on TDIPT Mercantile. We're having a Fall/Halloween theme on there.

So it'll be another hectic week...but then aren't they all???

There are some great holiday pieces being offered.

I didn't get a piece made for the Mercantile this month but will return in August for the Halloween themed update.
I'm working on another pumpkin piece for Ebay, I'll let you know when I list it.

Enjoy the rest of the week...Happy Fourth of July to each of you!

Jack on Ebay

Tonight I listed this Jack-O-Lantern on Ebay, I love how he turned out. Hope you get a chance to click on my Ebay link and go take a look at him.

This will be another busy week. We're getting squash and cucumbers in ever-increasing numbers. Most likely I'll start freezing some squash and it won't be long before I'll have enough cukes to start a crock of pickles. I make 14-Day sweet pickles, I've tried other recipes but this one is a family favorite. Even though it involves 14 days, it's not too complicated. The squash I freeze are cooked, seasoned and ready to eat. I just cool them and put them in freezer containers. I also grate raw squash and spoon some into zip lock bags to use in soups, a good way to get some more vegetables into finicky eaters. After all the rain we've had I'll probably be inundated with squash. I may have to resort to finding unlocked cars and leaving unsuspecting strangers a bag of squash!

So far, we just have 1 or 2 tomatoes a day, the small kind that are so good for salads. I'm really looking forward to that first bacon and tomato sandwich, there's nothing better for dinner on a hot summer evening.

Enjoy the week and if you find a bag of squash in your car...don't blame me!

Miss Harvest Moon

I listed this bit of whimsey on Ebay tonight. She joins the Americana doll I listed Sunday evening, hope you can visit my Ebay page (the link is to the right).

Tomorrow it'll be back to canning stringbeans for me. I actually like to can and I'm always very grateful when cold weather arrives to have pantry shelves full of tomatoes, stringbeans and pickles.

Try to stay cool, it's supposed to really start heating up.

Tonight on Ebay~Olde Glory~

I listed Olde Glory tonight, hope you get a chance to take a look. My Ebay link is to the right.

It's been a busy week here. I started canning stringbeans Friday and will have more to do this week. Our squash and potatoes are also coming in now. It's so good to have freshly picked vegetables to eat. We've also been buying lots of locally grown strawberries for the last six weeks or so. Now, I'm anxiously awaiting those first red, juicy tomatoes. I hope to have lots to eat and can.

Hope you all have a most enjoyable week.

New Witch on Ebay

Tonight, on Ebay, I'm listing this colorful Witch and her Kitty. The listing will run for a week. Hope you get a chance to check her out.

It's been another busy week, but I never seem to accomplish as much as I hope I will. I've done quite a bit of sewing and have transplanted several of my shrubs that weren't getting enough sun. Luckily this was another rainy week so I didn't have to do alot of watering, Mother Nature took care of that for me and I was most appreciative!

This week I'll be sewing for a new shop. It's in an old mill here in Virginia, in fact, it's called Olde Mill Primitives. The vendors are a combination of antique dealers and primitive Folk Artists. I can't wait to get there and see what all they have. Possibly I can get some pictures and share them with you.

I'll be posting something tomorrow on the TDIPT Blog, hope you get a minute to stop by and take a look. We're very close to our 100th posting and have some special plans to help celebrate this milestone. Keep checking the blog so you don't miss any of the news.

Take care and enjoy the new week~Diane
